Prospective students

Welcome to Bayreuth: Come and meet us! At the bottom of this page, you'll find an overview of the program our faculty offers.

However, the best way to learn more about what we have to offer is to visit Bayreuth's campus.

While the University is in session (mid-April to the end of July and mid-October to the beginning of February), you can get a taste of the programme you are considering by attending a course. If you have questions specific to your degree programme, please contact the programme advisor, programme coordinator, or programme moderator listed in the Programme Finder (see below).

You can set up an appointment for an advising session with the programme advisor at any time during the year. If you are unable to travel to Bayreuth, you can also ask you questions by phone or e-mail.

The best place for a basic overview of study opportunities in Bayreuth is the Student Advising Office. General information on bachelor's, master's, and teacher education programmes is available on the University of Bayreuth's central homepage.

Information Sessions

Each February, the University of Bayreuth hosts an Information Day highlighting its bachelor's programmes. This event provides compact information sessions on the programmes that interest you and even gives you the opportunity to sit in on lectures in certain subjects.

Philosophy & Economics also offers Visitor Days for Prospective Students several times a year.

On the University of Bayreuth's main homepage, you will find other events for pupils from local schools.

Support for special situations in life

The University of Bayreuth offers guidance and support at many different levels:
